What are dental implants?

Dental implants are our number one choice for replacing missing teeth.

They are screw-shaped titanium fixtures that are surgically implanted into the jaw bone.

They replace the root portion of the missing tooth, the part of the tooth that is anchored in the bone and completely hidden by the gums. Once it is healed, a porcelain crown is made by your dentist and connected to the implant. This is what we see in the mouth and what we use for chewing.
